The Warship USS George H.W. Bush gets in the way.
Single shot cropped @ 85mm f/8.0 ISO 100
Last week the Nimitz Class nuclear powered USS George H.W. Bush came to the Solent. Anchored outside Portsmouth Harbour, it's certainly an imposing sight. A metal leviathan, bristling with the wings of aircraft. She sat at anchor in the middle of the channel, the focus of a flurry of activity. Tankers bringing fuel oil, tenders running the 5000 strong crew back and forth from shore leave, tourist boats trying to get close for photographs and police boats desperately trying to keep some semblance of order.
I managed to get a few shots away, a couple of days apart. Nothing particularly special, but novel at least.
A 6 shot panorama for a bit more detail, taken a few days later.
